I can sit with this feeling

A self-compassion meditation based on the ancient wisdom of Persian philosopher, Rumi.

Some feelings we welcome easily. Others we push away, ignore or stuff down, hoping they'll pass on their own. This meditation offers a different way.

Based on the ancient poem The Guest House by the Persian poet Rumi, it invites you to welcome whatever you're feeling – even the difficult, uncomfortable parts – as a guest with something to teach you.

Through gentle affirmations, you'll place a hand on your heart, breathe into that space, and learn to sit with the feeling rather than fight it. It's a practice grounded in self-compassion, and in real evidence – naming a feeling and allowing it to be there, rather than avoiding it, is linked to genuine emotional relief.
